Dukes Make Jump to Tier III
At the 2012 winter meetings Dukes Manager Larry Pawalek made the case to have the Dukes move up to tier III. From the accounts of those in attendance Pawalek didn't use a single profane word in his speech, which in itself is a victory of sorts. The voting was done and the Dukes were successful in their bid. And so it is that the Dukes will play in tier III for their thirtieth season in the NCBL.
